Description
The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Performance Center Sport is a rimfire semi-auto rifle chambered in 22 LR that brings the ergonomics, controls, and modularity of the AR-platform M&P15 down to a low-recoil, affordable package. Built around an 18″ match-grade precision carbon steel barrel with a 1:15 twist and a threaded muzzle, it is paired with a match-grade chamber and a crisp two-stage match trigger for tight, consistent groups on the range or in the field.
The upper is dressed with a slim 10″ handguard in Magpul M-LOK configuration for accessory mounting, while iron sighting is handled by folding Magpul MBUS front and rear units. A 2-position receiver-mounted thumb safety, a right-hand configuration, and the familiar AR-style controls keep this rifle intuitive for anyone already trained on the AR-15 platform.
Up front, the rifle wears a Hogue grip and a Vltor adjustable stock for customized length of pull. The matte black metal finish pairs with a black synthetic stock for a clean, tactical look, and the rifle tips the scales at just 5.60 lbs with an overall length of 37.30″. Detachable magazine capacity is 10+1, making the Performance Center Sport equally at home as a plinker, a training rifle that mimics the AR-15 manual of arms, a small-game or varmint rifle, or a budget-friendly platform for new shooters.
