Description
The Heritage Mfg Rough Rider carries the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver into a scaled-down, rimfire-friendly package. This Small Bore model is chambered for .22 LR / .22 WMR and built around a six-shot cylinder, manufactured using precision machining that delivers tight cylinder lock-up and the dependable timing you’d expect from a quality single-action revolver.
This configuration pairs a long 16″ black steel barrel with a black-finished cylinder and a black zinc alloy frame for a clean, all-business look. The longer barrel makes the RR22MB16 a natural fit for range shooting and small-game hunting in either .22 LR or .22 Magnum. A spare .22 WMR conversion cylinder ships with the revolver so the shooter can switch between rimfire cartridges without leaving the range.
Traditional controls are retained: an exposed hammer for thumb-cocking and a hammer-block / thumb safety to help prevent accidental discharge while carrying. Sights are the classic fixed front blade paired with a notched rear, the same arrangement found on the original Single Action Army. Cocobolo wood grips finish the period-correct profile.
At 45.28 oz unloaded and 21.37″ overall, the Rough Rider balances naturally in the hand and makes for a fun, low-recoil shooter. Manufactured in the USA by Heritage Manufacturing, the Rough Rider is an affordable, accurate homage to the Old West six-shooter that works just as well for first-time revolver owners as it does for experienced cowboy-action competitors.
