Description
The Dan Wesson Valor 01823 is a full-size, 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistol chambered in 45 ACP and built on a forged stainless steel frame and slide finished in a matte Black Duty coating. It pairs a 5″ barrel with a single-action-only trigger and an 8+1 single-stack magazine for classic 1911 ergonomics and capacity.
This updated Valor configuration adds a Stan Chen SI magwell for fast, consistent reloads, plus tapered Gray G10 grips for a secure hold. Controls include a tactical ambidextrous thumb safety, an extended beavertail grip safety, and Dan Wesson’s signature recessed slide stop designed to accept laser grip panels. An integral Picatinny accessory rail under the dust cover supports weapon lights and lasers.
The slide carries GI-style cocking serrations along with inset top serrations that knock down glare, while the sighting system pairs a tritium night front with a high-visibility orange ring against a serrated U-notch rear for fast day/night target acquisition. Overall length is 8.75″ with an unloaded weight of approximately 39.7 oz.
Designed as a professional-grade duty and defensive 1911, the Valor delivers the accuracy, fit, and finish Dan Wesson is known for in a hard-use package ready for the range, defensive carry, or competition use.
