Description
The Savage Arms 13785 Rascal is a compact youth rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR, purpose-built for beginning and younger shooters. Part of Savage’s popular Rascal line, this rifle is safe, accurate and exceptionally easy to operate – a go-to choice for families introducing kids to bolt-action shooting.
At the heart of the rifle is a 16.13″ carbon steel sporter barrel in a matte blued finish, capped by a target crown to protect the muzzle and promote consistent accuracy. The barrel is mated to a matte black carbon steel receiver that carries Savage’s signature user-adjustable AccuTrigger, delivering a crisp, creep-free release that can be tuned without ever visiting a gunsmith.
This Rascal is a true single-shot bolt-action with an integrated feed ramp for reliable chambering, a 1-round capacity, a thumb safety, and a visible cocking indicator. Factory-installed adjustable peep sights get the rifle on target right out of the box, and a 1:16″ twist stabilizes standard .22 LR ammunition. The action locks up securely for safe handling and easy unloading between shots.
The fixed synthetic stock is finished in a distinctive blue matte color and proportioned for smaller-framed shooters, making the rifle comfortable to shoulder as a young shooter grows. Built in a right-hand configuration, the 13785 weighs just 2.71 lbs and measures 30.63″ overall – light enough for recoil-sensitive young shooters yet substantial enough for adult supervision at the bench. Whether used for plinking, foundational marksmanship training, or small-game hunting and target shooting, the Savage 13785 Rascal is a dependable first bolt-action rimfire.
