Description

The Colt Python is back in its modern reissue, and this 5″ stainless configuration sits squarely in the sweet spot of the lineup. Built around modern stainless steel alloys and a redesigned rear sight, the Python delivers the legendary smooth action and precision that made it an icon. This particular example is chambered in .357 Magnum and accepts .38 Special as well, making it a versatile double-action/single-action revolver for the range, the field, and the nightstand.

The Python is built around a stainless steel frame and a matching stainless cylinder, finished in polished stainless. The 5″ barrel carries a full-length vent rib for cooling and sight reference, paired with a recessed target crown that protects the rifling at the muzzle for consistent bullet jump and accuracy. With a 6-round capacity in .357 Magnum, you get serious power in a balanced, easy-to-shoot package.

Shooters will appreciate the Python’s classic sight picture: a high-visibility red ramp front backed up by a fully adjustable rear target sight with thirty percent more supporting steel than the original design, giving a rock-solid sight base for precision work. The trigger is the smooth double-action pull and crisp single-action break that put the Python on the map, equally suited to fast double-action shots and deliberate single-action fire.

Gripping the revolver is a pair of walnut grips finished with the classic Colt medallion, giving the stainless frame a warm, traditional look. The right-hand grip profile fits a wide range of hand sizes. Built in the USA and presented here in new condition, the Python is ready for transfer through your local FFL dealer.
