Description
The Wilson Combat 100B is a checkered frontstrap designed to upgrade the grip surface of a full-size 1911 Government or Commander pistol. Cut from thin, high-strength blued steel with a wrap-around checkered pattern, it provides an unyielding, slip-resistant surface for rapid follow-up shots even when hands are wet or sweaty.
It is an inexpensive substitute for hand checkering the frame, giving a much more aggressive front-strap texture without the cost of custom gunsmith work. The strap measures approximately 2″ long and is just 0.006″ thick, so it adds genuine grip security without noticeably changing the pistol’s grip circumference or trigger reach.
Installation is a true drop-in job. The frontstrap is trapped between the frame and the pistol’s grip panels and held in place by the existing grip screws – no gunsmithing, soldering, or permanent modification is required. Only a screwdriver is needed to fit or remove it, and removal returns the pistol to factory configuration.
Finished in a classic blued finish to match traditional blued 1911 pistols, the 100B is a simple, practical upgrade for any shooter looking to improve control and consistency on a Government or Commander-size 1911.
