Description
The bird&39s head style grip first appeared on Colt derringers and the little Old Line and House Pistols of the early 1870s. In 1875 the bird&39s head grip was incorporated into a new full-sized Colt revolver and the new shooting iron immediately became popular with lawmen and gun slingers alike. One of the Old West&39s most famous pistoleros, &34Billy The Kid,” liked the design and started packing a bird&39s head Colt.Uberti has recreated the look and feel of the classic bird&39s head Colt with the 1873 Cattleman Bird&39s Head available in 3-1/2&34, 4&34, 4-1/2&34, and 5″ barrel lengths.
