CRKT M16
The CRKT M16-01Z folding knife with 8Cr15MoV stainless steel, spear point blade; plain blade edge; hollow blade grind; flipper blade opener; bead blast blade finish; black Zytel handles; liner lock mechanism; and 1-position pocket clip.
Currently available at Mister Guns is Kit Carson’s M16® Every Day Carry (EDC) with CRKT’s glass-filled nylon InterFrame build.
This folder comes with a blade made of 8CR15MoV high-carbon stainless steel which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, while allowing easy field-sharpening. The blade sports a bead-blast finish, and this CRKT M-16 model features the manufacturer’s popular spear point slim profile blade with a Razor-Sharp edge that is ideal for fine cutting and carving tasks.
The Carson Flipper which speeds opening of the blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open is also present on this M16 knife, in addition to CRKT’s patented* AutoLAWKS™ knife safety which automatically actuates when the blades are open, and turns the folder into a virtual fixed blades when locked. Lubrous washers at the blade pivot and an adjustable pivot screw allow for perfect blade action.
Also featured on the CRKT M16 are textured, glass-filled nylon scales and a dual 2CR13 stainless steel liner InterFrame. Assembled with glass filled nylon back spacers and Torx® fasteners, this setup is amazingly rigid; and glass filled nylon offers excellent toughness and resistance to solvents.
A standard removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip for carry in one position rounds out this CRKT M16 knife which also comes with the CRKT limited lifetime warranty.
