You’ve spent some hard-earned dollars on your scope, so it doesn’t make sense to cut corners when buying a mount. The mount is the guard dog of the scope, making sure it stays put and doesn’t shift around.
That’s why you need these Hawke match rings. Each ring has 2 hex screws clamping the base to your air gun. Even better, each ring has 4 hex screws to snugly hold the scope tube. Surrounded by cushioned tape lining each ring, your scope tube will be solidly held in place.
Since spring-piston air guns can have some pretty harsh 2-way recoil, one of the rings has a scope stop pin to further anchor the ring and help prevent movement.
