Ranging Modes Built for the Field
The Triumph HD 850 gives you three ways to read distance depending on the shot:
- HCD (Horizontal Component Distance): Corrects for shot angle on steep uphill or downhill shots, giving you the true yardage to hold for instead of a raw line-of-sight number.
- LOS (Line of Sight): Displays straight-line distance to the target — useful on flatter ground.
- Scan: Delivers a continuous readout as you pan across terrain, handy for picking a shooting lane through brush or timber.
Three target modes round it out: Normal for most situations, First to range the closest object in front of clutter, and Last to range a target hiding behind brush or branches.
