The Carlsons 00050 Snap Cap is a 223 Rem dry-fire training dummy round from the Spring Loaded Striking line. Snap Caps allow for the safe release of firing pin springs, and a spring-loaded striking area cushions and protects the firing pin during repeated dry-fire practice. It is an excellent tool for teaching and eliminating flinching, giving 223 Rem shooters a simple way to run trigger drills and function checks at the bench without live ammunition.
Machined from aluminum, this Carlsons snap cap is built to withstand repeated dry-fire sessions and makes an inexpensive, practical addition to any 223 Rem rifle owner’s range kit.
