Description
The Colt O1911C Government Classic is a .45 ACP single-action semi-auto pistol built as a tribute to the revered Commercial Government Model pistols of the past. It carries the classic Series 70 firing system with pre-70 Series rollmarks, a 5″ stainless steel National Match barrel, a staked front sight, and a spurred hammer for the timeless feel that made the Government Model legendary.
The slide and frame carry a traditional blued finish over steel, with classic serrations on the slide for easy press checks and manipulation. Fixed 3-dot sights sit low for a clean sight picture, while an ambidextrous thumb safety is paired with a grip safety and beavertail to deliver a high, secure hold. A single-action-only trigger breaks clean and crisp for precision shooting.
Double diamond checkered rosewood grips give the O1911C its classic Government Model look and a positive feel in the hand. Magazine capacity is 7+1 rounds of 45 ACP, and the all-steel construction brings the pistol to a balanced 35 oz for steady, controllable follow-up shots.
