Description
The Hiviz NVLW01 LiteWave is an interchangeable fiber optic front sight purpose-built for the Novak 1911 dovetail cut. Built around an all-steel frame with a black finish, this front sight features Hiviz’s signature LiteWave diagonal-wave design that channels ambient light into the LitePipe for fast, intuitive target acquisition in bright daylight, low light, and everything in between.
The LiteWave system lets you swap LitePipes to match your environment. This front sight ships with three interchangeable LitePipes in green, red, and white, so you can configure your sighting picture for the lighting conditions of the day. An interchange key is included for swapping LitePipes in seconds. Each LitePipe measures 0.090″ in diameter, with a .180″ blade height and .125″ blade width for a clean sight picture on a standard 1911 slide.
The sight is cut for a Novak-style dovetail (.330″ x .075″ x 65 degrees), making it a direct fit on any Novak 1911 slide. It is also compatible with Sig Sauer 1911, Rock Island Armory, and Armscor 1911-pattern pistols that use the same Novak dovetail. Installation by a competent gunsmith is recommended for best results.
Designed primarily as a fiber optic night sight upgrade for defensive and target 1911 pistols, the NVLW01 delivers the bright, fast sight picture Hiviz is known for at an entry-level price, making it an easy upgrade for any Novak-cut 1911.
