Description
The Magpul X-22 Backpacker Stock pares down the full-size Hunter X-22 chassis into a minimalist, pack-friendly stock built specifically for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle. Designed for the hunter or outdoorsman who wants a compact, convenient carry package without sacrificing shooting performance, this stock transforms the 10/22 Takedown into a true backpack-ready .22 LR platform.
Constructed of a durable reinforced polymer in a black finish, the X-22 Backpacker features an ergonomic hand guard, optional QD sling mounting points, and a unique locking interface that secures the barrel assembly to the receiver during transport so the rifle stays together as a single unit. A hinged storage compartment in the buttstock is sized to hold up to three spare 10-round magazines or a box of .22 ammo, with a second integrated storage area in the grip for additional small items.
The fixed stock design delivers a 13.75″ length of pull and is free-floating for consistent barrel contact. It ships preconfigured for standard taper barrels and is also configurable for 0.920″ bull barrels. A MOE SL non-slip rubber buttpad finishes the stock and is compatible with MOE SL buttpad accessories for further length adjustment. The X-22 Backpacker fits all Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifles as well as the Tactical Solutions SBX barrel.
