Description
The Mec-Gar MGCG4510B is a 10-round detachable 45 ACP pistol magazine built specifically for the Colt 1911 Government full-size platform. Mec-Gar is widely recognized as one of the premier aftermarket 1911 magazine makers, and this model is engineered as a direct, drop-in replacement for the original Colt Government pattern magazine.
The body is formed from a heat-treated carbon steel tube finished in an anti-corrosion blued (black oxide) coating that matches traditional 1911 sidearm finishes. Inside, a high-impact polymer follower rides on a high-tensile music wire spring for consistent feeding across a wide variety of 45 ACP loads. A flush-fit high-impact polymer floor plate keeps the overall length standard for use in any 1911 Government magazine well.
Each magazine is assembled with precision TIG welding, and the components are perfectly interchangeable with factory-spec 1911 Government magazines for straightforward field service. Rated at 10 rounds of 45 ACP, this is the standard capacity spare, replacement, or training magazine for full-size 1911 Government pistols.
