Description
The Mec-Gar MGCO4506B is a factory-spec detachable pistol magazine built for the Colt 1911 Officer and Compact in .45 ACP. This 6-round magazine is constructed from heat-treated carbon steel with a durable blued finish for corrosion resistance and a flush, factory-original look on your short-grip 1911.
Inside, a high-impact polymer follower and high-tensile music wire spring deliver smooth, reliable feeding round after round. Individual witness holes on the body let you check loaded status at a glance, and the flat-welded baseplate seats cleanly in the magazine well. Mec-Gar magazines are widely regarded as a premium upgrade or replacement for factory 1911 pistol magazines, and this Officer / Compact variant is purpose-built for the shorter 1911 grip frame rather than the full-size Government model.
Whether you’re replacing a worn original, adding a spare to your range bag, or building out a backup magazine rotation, the MGCO4506B delivers the fit, finish, and function that have made Mec-Gar a top choice among 1911 shooters.
