Description
The Mossberg 590 Retrograde takes the battle-proven 590 pump-action platform and dresses it in a classic, throwback configuration. Chambered in 12 Gauge with a 3″ chamber, this tactical shotgun pairs a heavy-walled 18.50″ barrel with an integrated heat shield for sustained rapid-fire use, all finished in a non-reflective matte blue. Underneath the retro styling sits a matte blued stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for optics and accessory mounting, giving the Retrograde modern practical use beneath its period-correct lines.
The 590 Retrograde holds 6+1 rounds through the under-barrel tube magazine and is fed through the proven dual-action bar system that has made Mossberg’s pump shotguns a standard for military, law enforcement, and home-defense users for decades. The 39.50″ overall length, 7 lb carry weight, and ambidextrous tang-mounted safety keep handling familiar for right- and left-handed shooters alike. A bead front sight provides quick target acquisition, and the barrel ships with a fixed cylinder bore choke well-suited for buckshot and slug use.
A fixed walnut stock gives the Retrograde its classic silhouette and pairs cleanly with the tactical-grade metalwork beneath. Whether deployed for home defense, kept as a duty-ready shotgun, or simply enjoyed as a sharp-looking 590 in the safe, this pump-action Mossberg 590 Retrograde delivers the same reliable action and functional platform the 590 line is known for.
