Description
The Patriot Ordnance Factory Minuteman is POF’s take on what a modern 5.56x45mm NATO direct-impingement fighting carbine should be, stripped down to the controls and enhancements that matter and built around a lightweight, mobile platform. This semi-automatic rifle is rated at 30+1 capacity, weighs just 6.20 lbs, and stretches to a 34″ overall length, making it equally comfortable as a patrol, home-defense, or range carbine.
The 16.50″ match-grade barrel is black nitride heat treated for corrosion resistance and longevity, cut with a 1:8 twist and 5R right-hand rifling to reliably stabilize a broad spectrum of 5.56mm and .223 Rem. projectiles. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and crowned with POF’s three-prong flash hider, while a 14.5″ M-LOK handguard shrouds the gas system and provides plenty of real estate for lights, lasers, and grips. The upper is shipped optic ready with no iron sights installed, leaving the top Picatinny rail clean for your preferred red dot, holographic sight, or low-power variable optic.
At the heart of the action is POF’s signature E2 dual-extraction technology: four small channels cut into the chamber walls route a measured amount of gas pressure against the neck of the spent case, helping the extractor pop the case clear of the chamber and dramatically improving reliability across ammunition types and conditions. The mil-spec aluminum anti-tilt buffer tube uses carrier cradle extensions to keep the bolt carrier supported even when fully forward, smoothing cycling and reducing wear. A single-stage trigger, right-hand controls, and a 6-position MFT Minimalist stock round out the user interface.
Built on a black hard-coat anodized aluminum receiver with a black anodized metal finish throughout, the Minuteman is purpose-built for fast handling and dependable function in a lightweight package.
