Built around a 2.75″ steel barrel and a through-hardened alloy steel slide finished in black oxide with rear cocking serrations, the LCP pairs its metal upper with a one-piece, glass-filled nylon polymer grip frame in matte black. The result is a remarkably lightweight handgun tipping the scales at just 10.4 oz unloaded, making it one of the most concealable pistols in its class.
The DA/SA action tucks a recessed hammer inside the slide for a snag-free draw, and the fixed front and rear sights are integral to the slide for snag-free reliability. The checkered polymer grip frame delivers a secure hold, and there is no external manual safety. The included magazine accepts an optional finger-grip extension floorplate for added comfort and control.
