The Ruger Mini-14 Tactical (model 5877) is a rugged, semi-automatic 5.56x45mm NATO rifle built on Ruger’s legendary Garand-style action with a breech bolt locking system and a fixed-piston gas system featuring a self-cleaning moving gas cylinder. The proven operating system delivers unwavering reliability and is well suited for hunting, home defense, ranch work, and tactical applications.
The Mini-14 Tactical is built around a blued steel receiver and an 18.50-inch cold hammer-forged steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling for exceptional accuracy and longevity. Integral scope mounts are machined directly into the solid steel receiver, providing an exceptionally stable mounting surface and eliminating a potential source of looseness and inaccuracy in the field. Scope rings are included right out of the box, so the rifle is truly optics ready. The receiver and barrel carry a classic blued/black metal finish.
This model ships with Ruger’s exclusive Hogue OverMolded stock in Ghillie Green, giving the rifle a comfortable, secure grip and all-weather durability. Out of the box it is equipped with a ghost ring rear aperture sight and a non-glare, protected blade front sight, so it is ready to run on iron sights or to host your optic of choice. The action feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 5+1 capacity, and the right-hand configuration is set up for right-handed shooters.
