Description
The Ruger American Rimfire in 22 WMR is a modern bolt-action rimfire rifle built on Ruger’s proven American rifle platform. This Standard model pairs an 18″ cold hammer-forged, satin blued, threaded barrel with an alloy steel receiver and a black fixed synthetic stock. It weighs 5.50 lbs, measures 37″ overall, and is configured for right-hand shooters. The barrel is finished with a thread protector and uses a 1:14″ twist rate.
Ruger built the rifle around its Power Bedding integral bedding block system, which positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy. The cold hammer-forged barrel produces ultra-precise rifling for excellent accuracy and longevity. A 3/8″ rimfire scope base is machined directly into the receiver, which is also drilled and tapped for optic installation. Iron sights come standard: a Williams fiber optic front and an adjustable “V” slot, folding-leaf rear, with sling swivel studs installed for easy sling attachment.
The American Rimfire features a Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger for dialing in pull weight and overtravel, paired with a traditional tang safety for intuitive thumb control. It also uses the familiar 10/22-style extended magazine release, so 10/22 owners feel right at home. The rifle ships with one detachable JMX-1 9-round rotary magazine, giving a total 9+1 capacity.
The black synthetic stock includes two long length-of-pull modules to adjust fit for a range of shooters. Purpose-built for hunting and target shooting, the Ruger American Rimfire 22 WMR delivers the modern American rifle platform in a rimfire package ready for either optic or iron-sight use.
