Description
The Sellier & Bellot SB757RA is a 7x57R (7mm Mauser Rimmed) hunting load built around the company’s signature Soft Point Cut-Through Edge (SPCE) bullet. The 173 gr semi-jacketed projectile features a distinctive cutting edge where the lead core meets the jacket, locking the two components together to ensure reliable expansion and consistent weight retention on impact. This design produces a clean entrance wound and a distinct, easy-to-follow blood trail, making follow-up shots much more straightforward in the field.
Loaded in brass casings for reliable feeding, extraction, and reloadability, the 7x57R cartridge is the rimmed variant of the classic 7×57 Mauser, well-suited for use in classic and modern European-styled bolt-action rifles and combination guns. Sellier & Bellot rates this load at a muzzle velocity of 2379 fps and muzzle energy of 2173 ft lbs, delivering a flat trajectory and ample knockdown authority at reasonable hunting ranges. It is appropriate for light to medium game.
Manufactured by Sellier & Bellot in the Czech Republic, the SB757RA is a brand-new, current-production factory load and ships in a 20-round box.
