Description
The Taurus TH9 full-size is a hammer-fired, double-action/single-action 9mm Luger pistol built around a service-length slide and an ergonomic black polymer frame with finger-grooved grips. With a 17+1 capacity and a 4.27″ matte stainless steel barrel, the TH9 is positioned as a value-priced DA/SA duty pistol aimed at personal protection and recreational shooting.
The slide is matte black steel finished with rear cocking serrations for positive press-checks and manipulations, riding over a polymer frame with an integrated Picatinny accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers. Sights are a proven Novak arrangement with a drift-adjustable front and rear. Interchangeable backstraps allow the user to tune the grip to hand size, while deep finger grooves along the front strap and stippled grip panels keep the pistol anchored during rapid strings. Manual controls include a manual safety and a firing-pin block for an internal drop-safety layer, plus ambidextrous magazine release and slide stop for left-handed operation.
Weighing 28.2 oz unloaded, the TH9 includes two 17-round magazines and is at home on the range or in a service holster. The full-length grip accepts the higher-capacity magazines comfortably and balances naturally for both range work and duty carry.
