The Troy Industries Claymore is a forward-directing 5.56 NATO muzzle brake for AR-15 rifles. Blast and concussion are projected forward, away from the shooter and any adjacent shooters on the firing line, while the design keeps a low dust signature when running prone — useful for training and competition.

Best fit: 5.56 AR-15 builds where shooter and bystander comfort matter (training classes, competition, indoor ranges). Compensates aggressively for recoil at the cost of being louder out front than a baseline A2 birdcage.
Install: Verify your barrel thread pitch is 1/2×28 before ordering — the Claymore will not fit .30 cal 5/8×24 hosts. Use a crush washer or peel washers for proper timing; torque to 25–30 ft-lb. Re-check torque after the first 50 rounds.
