Description
The WASR-3 is an AK-style rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm, featuring a wood stock and equipped with a 30-round magazine. Known for its reliability and AK-inspired design, this rifle combines the iconic AK platform with the 5.56 caliber, offering users a durable and versatile firearm for various shooting purposes.
Indeed, Romanian AKs from the Cugir factory, like the WASR-10, have gained a strong following among Kalashnikov enthusiasts in the U.S. due to their affordability and reliability. While these rifles might not always boast the most refined finishes, their functional utility often outweighs cosmetic concerns. The criticism regarding canted sights, although prominent in discussions, was somewhat exaggerated, especially in rifles manufactured around 2008. In reality, this issue was not as widespread or severe as it was portrayed, and many rifles from the Cugir factory have proven to be reliable and accurate despite occasional aesthetic imperfections. Overall, these rifles have provided a solid value proposition for those seeking a dependable AK platform without breaking the bank.
