Description
The Wilson Combat Protector Carbine is a semi-auto AR-platform rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, built to deliver professional-grade performance in a factory *CA Compliant configuration. Designed and assembled in the USA by Wilson Combat, this version of the Protector combines a match-grade stainless barrel, a hard-coat anodized aluminum receiver, and the compliance features California buyers need without sacrificing the manual of arms or the build quality the line is known for.
At the heart of the rifle is a 16.25″ match grade stainless steel barrel with a 1:7″ twist, well-matched to the broad range of 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington loads on the market. The barrel is paired with a TacFire muzzle brake that helps tame felt recoil and keep the platform flat during rapid follow-up shots. The carbine measures 35″ overall and weighs 6.12 lbs.
The upper and lower receivers are finished in Black Hard Coat Anodized over aluminum for corrosion resistance and long-term durability under hard use. Stainless steel iron sights come standard for out-of-the-box accuracy. Fire control is handled by a tactical trigger for a clean, predictable break, and controls are set up for right-handed shooters.
This *CA Compliant build ships from the factory with a black Magpul MOE Fixed Carbine Stock and a black Strike Industries featureless grip, giving California shooters a featureless platform that meets state law while retaining a familiar AR-style manual of arms. A 10+1 detachable magazine keeps capacity within state limits while still offering practical capability.
