What color is pigment clay?
An earthy, muted tan with warm brown undertones—closer to dry ground than to orange. Because it is pigment dyed, the exact shade varies slightly between garments and continues to soften with wear.
Why does the color vary between shirts?
Pigment dye bonds to the surface of the fiber instead of soaking into it. That produces the faded, vintage look and a small amount of natural variation from piece to piece.
